| Purchased in 1988, this early 1900’s Eastsound cottage had seen better times.
Picture #1 is after we removed the huge blackberry patch growing around and through the house. Picture #2 shows the original brick walkway we discovered buried in the grass. We recycled all the bricks to other projects as there were not enough to create the new walkway. Today it is surrounded by native plants we have added including ferns, salal, mahonia and kinnikinnick, as well as those deposited by birds, gifts really, including beautiful madronas and snowberry. |
